Best Peach Cobbler




Pre heat Oven 350

Ingredients: peach mixture

2 lrg & 1 sm can of Slice Peaches
3 tsp Cinnamon
1 -1/2 stick real Butter (unsalted)
2 heaping tsp. Nutmeg
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp cummin
1 tsp pure vanilla extract
1 tsp pure butter extract
2 cups sugar or (sweet to taste)
3 tablespoons maple syrup(any kind is fine)

Instructions:

Add peaches to lrg pot an add the above ingredients to peaches let boil on stove 20min TIL almost soften peaches(don’t over cook)add 2 tablespoons of cornstarch in a cup, add 3 tablespoons water mix well, add to peach mixture while its cooking

Crust:(start making crust while peaches cook)
In lrg bowl
Add 5 cups All purpose flour
4tbls sugar
2tsp salt
2 cold sticks of butter(chopped in small squares )
1 cup cold butter crisco(chopped in small squares)
1 cup very cold water

Instructions: Crust

1. Step 1.) In a large bowl combine, flour, sugar, salt. Whisk until combined
2. Step 2.) Put in the butter and Crisco. Stir Until it resembles large crumbs. Using a pastry cutter til pieces are pea size
3. Step 3.) Add in cold water slowly, stir gently just until combined. Add more if doughs to dry
4. Step 4.) Divide the dough Into 2 balls then Roll one dough out onto a floured surface into a lrg round disc, do same to 2nd ball, then, wrap individually in Saran Wrap place in refrigerated. For 1 hour
5. Step 5.) Remove dough from refrigerator flour counter surface with flour, roll out each dough in a flat square size of pan, (I use a deep 9×13 pan)about quarters thickness, Spread 1 into button aluminum pan evenly,
6. Do a egg wash, in a bowl add 2 tablespoons of water 1 egg mix well, brush wash over crust, place pan in oven 350’ for 10 min to crust is lightly brown(save egg wash for top crust)
7. Spoon peaches (using a lrg spoon with holes)in too pan on top of lightly brown crust
8. then pour remaining juice on top to level off a little above the peaches
9. Add other dough over top of peaches evenly , pressing dough to sides of pan
10. Brush on more egg wash to top crust, sprinkle sugar an cinnamon on top
11. Lightly Puncture top crust with a fork
12. Cook 45 min or until good an brown
13. Right before taking out base top with melted butter
