My famous Southern fried cabbage with andouille sausage and jumbo shrimp.
This is not just any cabbage recipe. It is a southern fried cabbage recipe that uses bacon, sausage, and cajun shrimp as a flavor enhancer to really bring out the cabbage’s incredible taste. This easy, one-pot fried cabbage recipe is surely a crowd-pleaser. The best part is that not only is this cabbage full of flavor, but it is low-carb and keto-friendly as well!
INGREDIENTS:
- 1 head of cabbage cored,
- Chopped and rinsed,
- Package of andouille sausage sliced,
- 3 slices of thick bacon cut up,
- Raw jumbo shrimp,
- 2 cloves of garlic minced,
- 1 orange bell pepper thinly sliced,
- 1 onion thinly sliced,
- Cajun seasoning to your liking,
- Lemon pepper to your liking and pepper.
Instructions:
- Saute your andouille and bacon until done. Remove from pan.
- Cook your shrimp until done and remove from pan.
- Remove some of the grease and add 2-3 tbsp of butter. Sauté onions and bell pepper until slightly soft and then add garlic and sauté for 3 minutes.
- Add your cabbage and turn down to medium low put a lid on. Cook for 20 minutes and stir and add your seasonings. Put lid back and cook to your likeness. After done, add in your cooked shrimp, bacon and andouille and stir. Hear through.
