One-Pan Ground Beef and Potato Skillet

This Ground Beef and Potatoes Skillet is made in with ground beef and cubed potatoes that summer in a seasoned beef broth. This hearty and cheesy dish is an easy recipe for weeknight comfort food that the whole family can enjoy.

Prep Time: 10 minutes | Cook Time: 20 minutes | Total Time: 30 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 12 small potatoes (or as many as you prefer), diced
  • 1 can cream soup (any type you like)
  • 3/4 cup milk (or substitute with water and sour cream mixed together)
  • Your choice of seasoning (e.g., salt, pepper, garlic powder, etc.)
  • Shredded cheese (for topping)

Instructions:

  1. Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook until it is fully browned, breaking it into small crumbles as it cooks. Drain any excess grease if needed.
  2. Once the beef is browned, add the diced potatoes to the skillet. Stir occasionally and cook for about 10–15 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender. Adjust the cooking time depending on the size of the potato pieces.
  3. When the potatoes are cooked through, add the cream soup and milk (or your water and sour cream mixture) to the skillet. Stir well to combine all the ingredients.
  4. Season the mixture with your preferred spices (e.g., salt, pepper, garlic powder, etc.), adjusting to taste. Stir thoroughly to distribute the flavors evenly.
  5. Sprinkle shredded cheese over the top of the dish. Cover the skillet and allow the cheese to melt for a few minutes.
  6. Once the cheese is melted and bubbly, remove the skillet from the heat and serve immediately.
